DEFENSIBLE REPORTS

For attorneys and clients

A psychological evaluation can strengthen an immigration case by documenting how an applicant has been impacted by the events relevant to their claim. I work with both attorneys and pro se applicants to produce reports that are clinically sound, written for non-clinical readers, and tied directly to the legal standard at issue.

Evaluation types

i.

Initial consultation

Free, brief call. We confirm the evaluation type, timeline, and whether I'm the right fit. Attorneys are welcome to join.

ii.

Clinical interview

Typically two telehealth sessions. We cover history, the events relevant to the case, current functioning, and impact on daily life. Conducted in English or Spanish.

iii.

Trauma and psychosocial assessment

Standardized screening tools when clinically appropriate, plus a clinical narrative grounded in your specific story and context.

iv.

Written report

A comprehensive report — including diagnostic impressions when applicable — tailored to the legal criteria of the specific immigration relief being sought. Plain enough for non-clinicians, defensible for court.

v.

Delivery

Standard turnaround is 2–3 weeks from the final interview. Expedited turnaround is available for an additional fee.

Languages, Fees, and Logistics

Evaluations can be conducted fully in Spanish or in English. Reports are written in English by default; Spanish reports available on request. Flat-fee pricing with the scope confirmed in writing before we begin. Flexible payment plans may be available depending on circumstances.
